Our 12-month warranty

Everything we design and make is covered by our 12-month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. That includes our flat pack kits, ready-made drawer kits and van kits, and the cabinetry we build and fit at our Brooklyn workshop. The 12 months start on the day you receive the goods, by delivery or pickup.

What is covered

Panels, joins and CNC-cut parts that fail because of a fault in how we made them.
Hardware we supply with the kit, such as drawer runners, hinges and latches, that fails in normal use.

What is not covered

Normal wear and tear, including marks and wear on finishes from everyday use.
Damage from accidents, misuse, overloading, or water getting in from outside the fitout.
Parts that have been modified, or fitted in a way that does not follow our instructions.
Products we resell, such as fridges, electrical and plumbing parts. These carry their maker's own warranty and we will help you claim on it.

How to make a claim

Email info@unwinddesigns.com.au or call 0417 362 209 within the 12 months. Send your order number, a short description of the problem and a few photos. We will look at it quickly and tell you what happens next.

If the claim is covered, we will repair or replace the faulty part. We pay for the replacement part and the freight to get it to you, or we fix it at our Brooklyn workshop. If we need the part back, we arrange and pay for the return freight. You pay any costs of your own in making the claim, such as your time removing and refitting a part.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The benefits of this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies under a law in relation to the goods to which the warranty relates.
